June 24th meeting was well attended. We had a speaker to talk about DeMolay, the fraternal organization for young men, who is also the local DeMolay Dad advisor. Cutting boards made from Corian were donated to the members and rapidly depleted.
After the meeting, our Ladies continued their work projects.
Our July 22 we had our largest group yet for lunch. We had a speaker from Brookings-Smith to talk about being prepared and thinking ahead.
After the meeting, our Ladies continued their work on knitting, Linus blankets and other crafts for local programs.
Our next meeting on August 9 was on another hot summer day. Les and Sharon Stone provided a cool lunch with two kinds of salads, great croissants and cold cuts and an amazing collection of fruit.
Our speaker after lunch was our chaplain Martin Perfit who spoke of the great Supreme Court Justice and Mason, John Marshall.
Norma Leighton then talked about the activities that the Ladies are working on, including Linus blankets, packages for battered women shelters and their newest one of making dolls for children in other countries facing surgery. Norma thanked the Lodge for their contribution toward the materials.
